Chapter Ten
Anxiety.
Fear.
Anger.
No, rage. Yes, all rage.
Olivia made her way toward Jared’s office to ‘talk’. The further she walked, the more the rage consumed her. She was like a kettle on a stove. Her body held the vapor and trying to compress it, it would soon explode into a fit of screams, like a banshee. If she did not allow the steam to escape, she would annihilate anything around her.
While her heels struck the tiled floor, she caught her reflection as she passed a mirror. She stopped and back stepped to look at herself.
Her hair was down around her shoulders, slightly disheveled from Jared’s manhandling. She closed her eyes as she held onto that image. He did not scare her. In fact, she longed for him to do it again while he fed from her.
Needles scared her, but teeth…fangs were different. She had an urge to submit to these men and allow all of them to take what they needed, including her body. She glanced at herself again. She'd arrived a vulnerable woman unaware of the confines behind closed doors that consumed a blood demon’s life. Now, fully aware of what she was in for, she was ready to give herself to her stable, completely.
She smoothed her hair down with her hands, wiped the residue of spilled tears and eyeliner from underneath her eyes, and pulled out her tube of red lipstick. She slid the crimson across her lips, then tucked the tube back into her pocket. She raised a single brow and called upon the confidence deep inside her. She knew it was there. It was finding the confidence, holding on to it, and never letting it go.
Olivia turned her head to the left and studied the hallway. At the end was Jared’s office. At the end would be the determining factor of if she stayed, or if she would be asked to leave. If she had any say in the matter, she would not only stay, she would claim her stable.
“Mine,” she whispered and began her descent down the corridor.
Five men.
Five different personalities.
Five sets of fangs.
Ten teeth punching through her skin.
Five cocks penetrating her.
Her body shivered in delight at these thoughts. To be seduced by one man, maybe two, was nice. It was fun. It was a sprint. Hurry up and finish sprint, get ready for the next one. But to be seduced, teased, tasted, fed on, fall in love with, and have sex with five different men, all in the same sitting, if not at the same time, was a marathon she was eager to begin.
The further down the hall she stepped, the louder her shoes struck the tile. It was the pivotal moment in a movie where the victim turned into the heroine. Everything became louder, clearer, and every movement became slower. Like stepping through molasses that seeped over your feet.
Olivia stopped in front of Jared’s closed office door. On the other side sat her future, her fate, her destiny. She closed her eyes and sent up a silent prayer she would walk in and be heard.
